Built for Ascendent Health Partners, a Wisconsin-based healthcare portfolio company, the Merton medical office building was imagined as a home for community-based health and wellness businesses to serve the small but rapidly growing lake country community.
Designed by Clow Berg, the design intent involved simple, farm-like building structures with modern and minimalistic interventions. The design included building materials such as corrugated metal and standing seam roofs, with skylights sprinkled throughout, and expressed in steel with wood purlins and decking, adding to the rustic charm of the area.
